The Color Room

YAY! Another week at The Color Room! I LOVE that site! LOL

This is the palette..

The palette this week is so soft and gorgeous and I had a blast creating!

Here is my layout..

My first time playing with buttons!! and I love the effect it has here. Also I love the Websters pages netting. I am not a big flower person, so the netting is perfect for me to layer and create even more dimension in a page. AND the background paper is from the jaw dropping `Spring Market` line from Websters pages. I am very happy with how this layout turned out.

I recently promised you to show my tagbook I made for my youngest son as a valentines gift. He loves all the things I make, so he will love this for sure. Here it is in some different angles..

I used the cute LOVE acrylic keychain from Maya Road. Loved working with it! I added some own tags and included 2 photos of us. I decorated the whole mini tagbook with the Lovey Dovey line from Bella BLVD. It is so incredibly cute.. using it you will create perfect layouts or other projects for children. Also in the tagbook are the pleated pink flowers and pins from Maya Road, ticket from Tim holtz, ribbon from May Arts and twine from Jillibean soup.

The Color Room

This is palette 42 at the color room. It is absolutely gorgeous and these colors I would have NEVER stucked together on a layout, so thats why I love it even more. I am enjoying myself by playing along with the color room and color combos galore every week. They sure are stretching limits!

Color Combos Galore #176

Yes, it is time for week 3 of Yourscrapbookstash.com sponsering Color Combos Galore. 

I am sad time is flying by so fast, I LOVE to play with the color palettes!

It is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and I had SO much fun playing with these colors!!

I created this page; I based it mostly on the sketch Alyssa created for the blog at Your Scrapbook Stash.

On The Color Room to be exactly! I am SO happy and it is amazing to see my layout on the front page! YAY!!

The Color Room

I created this layout using the color palette from The Color room. The palette this week was fun, bright, girly and well.. absolutely beautiful!! 

I am doing it...

yes I am! I am just going to be persistent. 

My word for 2011 is GROW. 

One of the things I need, I want, to grow in is accepting myself. Accepting the way I look, the way I do things, the way people look at me. I want to stop being SO insecure and thats why I decided to join in, not only with project 52, which I will be scrapping every week, but also with project 365.

1 photo a day. A photo of me, of my life. Because I know that I will grow in skills, in creativity and in perseverance during this journey. The most rewarding thing however will be that I can look at myself and accept myself the way I am. I want to stop hiding, I want to stop worrying if people will like me or not. I want to stop looking at myself with such negativity. 

So here is to another fun journey this year.

and although I LOVE the creativity side in this project 365, I am planning on using her poses and ideas for the start since I feel way to uncomfortable doing this LOL. (Although of-course my photos will be nowhere near as gorgeous as hers are, I will definitely be happy doing this with my P&S Sony camera.)

I am starting today; Friday, January the 14th, and will continue to post my photos everyday until  January the 14th in 2012.

Project 52 - week 1 & 2

I decided to jump in on Project 52 and make a self portrait every week. Yes yes, I know I said that I wouldn't do all these projects that are going on, but I just can't seem to focus on the one little word enough to be satisfied. So, this is a nice thing to follow along with.. it's weekly, so low pressure.. AND I received my gorgeous products from YourScrapbookStash that I really wanted to work with right away. 

Here are my first 2 layouts using my first 2 self portraits.

week 1:

 I used Love Nest from Glitz Designs, pleated ribbon and chipboard postage frame from Maya Road, bird and white cardstock from Artemio (Dutch brand)

week 2:

I used Love Nest from Glitz Designs, stickers from Lovey dovey from Bella BLVD, creme tag (YSS) transparant doilies by Maya Road.

I am excited for this as it feels like all the thought I had in my head to create an art journal/one little word album can perfectly be combined with this Project 52 - weekly portraits.

Color Combo Galore #174

Hello all!

I created my first page of the year! Well, I did create it a week ago, but I am finally able to share it!

Your Scrapbook Stash is sponsoring Color combos Galore this month and of course I had to play! These challenges give me so much inspiration! 

Because of their beautiful bright and girly color palette this month I created the front for my One Little Word / Art Journal.

The designers challenge was to use a special butterfly in your layout so I created this butterfly from a magazine cutout with the word `notes` on it, which of course reflects to whats going to be inside.

To create this page I used a Sweetness rub on from Pink Paislee on the white cardstock and I stapled the gorgeous netting from Websters Pages on my layout. A photo of some beautiful pink flowers, a polaroid stamp from Crafty Secrets and rub ons from 7gypsies are on the right side. To stick it all together I used white fabric tape and a little word strip I made saying `my heart´. To finish it off I added a folded paper piece on top using the basics collection Manilla from Basic Grey and of course the magazine cut out butterfly.

My word of 2011 : GROW

I have been thinking about my word for 2011. I had a list of 3 words I finally had to choose from and this word is probably fitting best what I want for me in 2011. Grow.

To grow personally on so many levels. I can't wait to start my One Little Word journey.

Now I just have to wait for my album to arrive and to have the time to create with my thoughts, experiences and feelings.

2011. 

I am ready.

Yay! A new year, new chances, new beginnings, new wonders and new memories to be documented every day for the year 2011.

I am excited for this! I am excited for a lot of things that will happen in 2011.

First off I have some excited news to share!

I am on the YourScrapbookStash DT!!! Gosh, I am SO happy and so thankful for this chance! A new chance to start showing my work online and a new chance to work with some amazing talented people!
